From Scion.com:
Always on top of the latest trends and forming key partnerships with the tastemakers who help bring these trends to life is Super Street, and editor, Sam Du is definitely going in ultra hot by connecting with LTMW (LT Motorwerks), the body shop masters that have become wildly famous for completing projects bearing the Liberty Walk, Rocket Bunny or RWB name. Currently the Scion FR-S is being prepped for a custom Rocket Bunny kit that will be wider than the original design calls for, which is a design coming from automotive illustrator, Jon Sibal; the body will also be sprayed a new yellow, different than the Scion FR-S Release Series 1.0 Yuzu Yellow. The engine was pulled so that more one-off fabrication could be done, and in the meantime, Gearheinz was brought in for their motor-building expertise. “Most people do a bolt-on turbo or supercharger kit,” says Gearheinz, “We’re doing ITBs [individual throttle bodies].” Also helping out on the Super Street FR-S is Rywire, where they are creating a new engine harness that will not only help clean up the engine bay for show points but will control the drive-by-wire system for the ITBs. Ryan Basseri, owner of Rywire, says, “Instead of cutting, shortening or extending the original harness, we’re building a new one entirely from scratch that’s specific to this vehicle.” The plot is surely thickening as we count the days down to the Scion Tuner Challenge 2014 at the SEMA Show!
